MAFAA Membership Information
Membership dues are $40.00
The Minnesota Association of Financial Aid Administrators (MAFAA) is an organization made up of approximately 550 financial aid members from eight diverse sectors of institutions and organizations.
MAFAA is governed by an executive council that is made up of the association's officers and representatives from each sector. The officers include the president, the president-elect, the vice-president, the secretary, the treasurer, the treasurer-elect and the past-president. This governing body meets approximately once a month to discuss the business of the Association

- MAFAA Matters, the official Association newsletter (monthly)
- Professional training (currently FREE for MEMBERS)

- Opportunities to impact financial aid in Minnesota by serving on committees and task forces that directly affect aid for students
Membership Categories:
- Regular Membership: Persons actively engaged in the administration of student
financial aid at any Minnesota post-secondary school may apply for membership.
Regular members are eligible to vote, hold office, and be committee members or
chairs.
- Associate Membership: Persons associated with public and private organizations,
including Minnesota post-secondary schools, who are concerned with or engaged
in the support or administration of student financial aid may apply for membership.
Associate members may serve on ad hoc and standing committees, and may chair ad
hoc committees.
- Retired Membership: Retired persons who spent the last five years of their careers as MAFAA members may apply for retired membership. Retired members enjoy honoree membership privileges at no charge including receipt of MAFAA Matters and other MAFAA membership mailings. They may also attend workshops and conferences at the regular membership fee. Retired members may serve on ad hoc and standing committees.
