MAFAA Corporate Support

An Open Letter to our Supporters...

June 2008:

I am writing you on behalf of MAFAA, the Minnesota Association of Financial Aid Administrators. I want to thank you for your past support of our association and hope you consider donating in 2008-2009.

MAFAA's membership includes representatives from both public and private educational institutions, state and federal governmental agencies, lending institutions, guarantors, service providers and others with a vested interest in serving college students. With over 600 members, MAFAA is recognized as one of the premier state financial aid associations in the nation.

Each year, MAFAA helps our membership and constituents by:

  • Providing excellent training programs on various aspects of financial aid.

  • Coordinating communication between our constituents through the MN List Serv, the MAFAA.org website and the MAFAA Matters newsletter.

  • Supporting "Early Awareness" programs that give elementary students from diverse backgrounds an opportunity to explore higher education possibilities.

  • Coordinating two conferences for concentrated training opportunities through a wide variety of interest sessions and expert speakers.

MAFAA is able to provide these services to our membership through a well-managed financial structure. Our annual income is derived from Membership Dues, Conference Fees, Training Donations, Development Grants and Corporate Donations.

For the 2008-09 fiscal year MAFAA will consider all funds received as donations. Our associate members have the options to exhibit, advertise and support training. Please see the Corporate Support web page for more details.

For 2008-2009, MAFAA Professional Development Training events will be offered free of charge as they were last year.

If you have questions regarding the MAFAA Corporate Support process, please contact me.

Sincerely,

Donna Jager, MAFAA Corporate Support Chairperson
